This is NOT the true story of Erno Rubik and his cube... This is their fairy tale.

Rubik's Movie is my reimagining of the Ruby-Spears animated series, Rubik the Amazing Cube, which aired on ABC TV from 1983 to 1984. It's an upbeat fairytale about family, friendship, fair play, imagination..., oh, and speedcubing.

Rubik's Movie is for families, kids, the young, and the young at heart. I want it to be like those magical movies that made my childhood special. There are good guys and bad guys, right and wrong, sorrow and laughter, with clean kid humor, no "grown-up" jokes - not even the hidden kind. Rubik's Movie is for KIDS of all ages.

Rubik is a little cube with a big story, set in present day, in an ordinary world, where extraordinary things are possible, where Rubik is unique among millions of ordinary Rubik's Cubes. His secret is that he is the first Rubik's Cube, but his family and friends don't know that. They're simply glad to have found him. As they learn of Rubik's magical powers and secrets, they also discover the true magic of who he is and how he really can help them.

Rubik's Movie is about discovering true goodness, friendship, and unconditional love - finding the magic in ourselves and realizing that we all have a choice about who we want to be.
