Rubik Facts

Rubik tries out for a spot on the Rubik's logo

Rubik does not have a standard Rubik's Cube color scheme. His faces are white opposite green, red opposite blue, and yellow opposite orange - with red, yellow, blue and orange clockwise around white. In an upright position, his red face is on top (UP), blue on bottom (DOWN) and white in front. It is theorized that Erno Rubik chose a different color scheme for his manufactured cube so that if his Little Magic Cube ever got scrambled he would be able to tell it apart from all the duplicates. More pragmatic sources conjecture that the color scheme was merely an aesthetic choice made by animators. The jury is still out.

feetless Rubik

Rubik comes feet optional. His little blue cube legs are rather like landing gear. They retract when he doesn't need them. This makes him a little more aerodynamic, though when he is in motion, it is thought that his feet might be ued for steering.

Rubik loves to eat

Rubik can go for an undetermined period in an inactive scrambled state, but when he is active he eats more than his own weight each day. His powers require large amounts of energy which he acquires very efficiently from any kind of food. Though ready sources of energy such as sugar and simple carbohydrates are his favorites - e.g. candy, soda pop, and chips. Rubik's powers require one-hundred percent of what he consumes. When he is not replenished very soon after using a lot of energy, Rubik usually resorts to a long nap. It is thought that he stores some of what he consumes and then when he is scrambled or hiding for a long period, he spends the whole time sleeping and eating.

Check out Rubik's tongue!

Rubik can send and receive radio signals and communicate with wireless devices and cell phone towers. He's not sure how it works. It's just something he does.

Rubik's age and origin are unknown.

Rubik has a dark blue tongue. His eyes are also dark blue. Since we don't know any other cube people, we're not sure if this type of pigmentation is normal for cubes or not.
